Another change of seasons has arrived.  Where did the summer of 2019 go?  It has been a busy year for the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region.  Members have attended dozens of car shows and events since May.  The month of October has many owners looking ahead and getting ready to put their Rolls-Royce or Bentley into hibernation.  There are still some warm fall days remaining Last minute get-together's are still being planned and will be listed here.

The annual general meeting for members of the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region will be held in Red Deer, Alberta on the first weekend of October.  Notice of the meeting, agenda and proxy forms (for those that cannot attend), have already been emailed to members.  If you require any additional information please contact either Gord Craig or Dave Keith.

The Drive and Dine destination is the Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park, about an hour southeast of Calgary just 12 km south of the Trans Canada Highway on Highway 842.  Step back in time at this Canadian National Heritage Site.  The Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park is home to the Sisiska (Blackfoot) Nations culture, education and entertainment center which is a world class facility and tourist destination.  Depending on road conditions, driving of ones personal Rolls-Royce and Bentley on this day will be left to the discretion of individual owners.

EURO CARS AND COFFEE

Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta

Only two Euro Cars and Coffee events remain on the 2019 schedule (weather permitting) These show and shine gatherings have taken place every Tuesday evening in Alberta's two biggest cities since the beginning of May.  These events, in Edmonton and Calgary, have been hosted and organized by the Alberta Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America.  The ECC events showcase some of the rarest and exclusive European automobiles including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lotus, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Mclaren, Porsche and of course Ferrari.  RROC members often attend this weekly show which runs from 7:00pm - 9:00pm (weather permitting!!).

RROC FALL TOUR 2019

New Mexico - Colorado

September 15 - 21, 2019

A scenic journey that begins in Albuquerque, New Mexico and ends in Silverthorne, Colorado is hosted by the Texas/New Mexico and Rocky Mountain Regions of the Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners club.  A 776 mile (1,260 kilometer) guided route will take motorists through several National Parks including Mese Verde which is home to the largest archaeological preserve in the United States. Four Corners, where the borders of New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Utah meet is another stopping point.  Both desert and mountain scenery will keep photographers extremely busy on this trip during the middle of September.  Independence Pass, the highest paved roadway in Colorado (12,000feet), is also part of the planned route.

EURO CARS AND COFFEE

Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta

The final Euro Cars and Coffee event for 2019 (weather permitting) is the first Tuesday of October. These events, in Edmonton and Calgary, have been hosted and organized by the Alberta Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America since the beginning of May.  These events have showcased some of the rarest and exclusive European automobiles including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lotus, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Mclaren, Porsche and of course Ferrari.  RROC members attended this weekly show several times the past few months.  As always, the show will run from 7:00pm - 9:00pm (weather permitting!!).

GREAT WHITE NORTH PUMPKIN FAIR

Smoky Lake , Alberta

October 5, 2019

The Iron Cruisers Car Club hosts one of the final organized show and shine events of the year in the province of Alberta.  This show is held in conjunction with the annual Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair.  The car show (9am - 4pm) is held in downtown Smoky Lake.  The 31st annual, world famous pumpkin weigh-off (+squash and watermelon) takes place at the Smoky Lake Ag Complex starting at NOON.  Last years heaviest pumpkin weighed in at 1,884lbs.  A 159lb watermelon was given a special award.  Smoky Lake is located about an hour and a half northeast of Edmonton.

69th RROC ANNUAL MEET

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

June 22 - 27, 2020

The 69th annual meet of the Rolls-Royce and Bentley Owners Club will be held in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  The annual meet, hosted by the Keystone Region of the RROC, will take place June 22 – 27, 2020.  The Wyndam Hotel and complex will be ‘home base’ for the week-long gathering.  History lives in Gettysburg and the surrounding area.  Dozens of historic landmarks, buildings and other historical sites are close by including the Gettysburg National Park.  Visit the Harley-Davidson factory in nearby York and the train museum in Strasbourg.  Visit RROC Headquarters and the Rolls-Royce Foundation Museum just a short 35 minute drive north of Gettysburg in Mechanicsburg, PA.
