RROC Can-Am Prairie Region

Welcome to the Events and Road Trips section of the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region website.  Whether a country-side drive or cruising the open highway, seeing a Rolls-Royce or Bentley is an extremely rare occurrence in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Montana.  Seeing a Rolls-Royce or Bentley standing still is even rarer.  Members of the Can-Am Prairie Region attend dozens of car shows every year.  Listed below are events with guaranteed or potential participation from Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners.

 

CLUB EVENTS

BRIT CARS AND COFFEE/TEA

Edmonton, Alberta

Saturday, September 6th

The final British Cars & Coffee/Tea event of summer takes place Saturday, September 6th.  Edmonton's Fifendekel Cafe', located at 12028 - 149th Street, opens its doors to owners of British vehicles from 9:00am - 11:30am.  The fourth event of the year (August 3rd) saw 41 British vehicles on display.  Owners of all British marques are welcome to attend.  Members of several British Car clubs attend this automotive social including the Canadian Prairies Jaguar Club, the Edmonton Mini Club and the Edmonton Classic Sports Car club.

British Cars & Coffee (or Tea) is organized by the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region.

FALL HARVEST CAR DISPLAY

Leduc, Alberta

Sunday, September 7th

The Fall Harvest and Antique Tractor Pull Championship weekend is at the Leduc West Antique Society on Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th from 9am - 4pm.  All museum buildings, including the Edmonton Power Historical Museum and the Trucking Museum will be open.  Threshing, blacksmith and sawmill demonstrations are scheduled for both days as is the 2025 Provincial Tractor Pull championships.  On Sunday, the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region is hosting a special British Car display in front of the Hooper Coachbuilders 'tribute' building from 11am - 3pm.  Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, MG's, Mini's and more will be parked on the grass.  Leduc West Antique Society is located 5km west of Leduc on Highway 39 just 1-kilometer north on Range Road 260 (Cohendale Road).

Calgary, Alberta

Thursday, September 18th

Calgary and area Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners gather for breakfast at Phil's Restaurant on Thursday, September 18th.  Phil's has been serving up delicious food (including breakfast) since 1956.  This is an RROC Can-Am Prairie Region automotive social.  Non-members welcome to come out and meet with fellow Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners.  Plenty of parking at this Phil's Restaurant located just east of Crowchild Trail on 16th Avenue NW (Trans Canada Highway).

CAR DISPLAY / FLY-IN-BREAKFAST

near Calmar, Alberta

Sunday, September 21st

The RROC Can-Am Prairie Region celebrates the final full-day of summer with a special RSVP event on Sunday morning September 21st.  The annual Fly-In-Breakfast / Car Show takes place in the 'backyard' of Howard Lengert's farmstead.  Pilots from all over Alberta will be flying their planes and helicopters to the Maplelane Aerodrome southeast of Calmar.  This is also Howards birthday making it an extra special day.  For the car display this is an RSVP event.  There will be reserved parking for Rolls-Royce and Bentley along with British and select European marques.  The airfield opens at 8:00am.  Breakfast (by donation) will be served from 8:15am - 11:00am.  This is one of the longest running socials for the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region.  This event was first held back in 1988.

NOTE: A Dawn Patrol drive will take place Sunday morning.  Early birds will gather in a designated meeting spot (TBD) and depart as a group just after sunrise (7:18am) for the 25-minute drive to Howards to enjoy the arrival of dozens of airplanes and helicopters.  Official invitation to this event will be sent out the first week of September.

The RROC Can-Am Prairie Region will be supporting/attending many events hosted by other car clubs and organizations in 2025.  Events with potential and/or confirmed participation from Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners, are listed below.  A few events that are British themed but located outside of our clubs region will also be listed here as a courtesy.

THE GATHERING

St. Albert, Alberta

Saturday, August 30th

Hyper Cars, Super Cars, Exotics and Luxury Cars highlight "The Gathering" on Saturday, August 30th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.  The Exotic Connection Car club is hosting this event at specialty detail shop, Owners Pride in St. Albert (35 Corriveau Avenue).  This is not a drop-in car event.  Pre-registration is required.  Several members of the RROC are expected to be in attendance at this event.

SOUTH COMMON CARS & COFFEE

Edmonton, Alberta

Sunday, August 31st

Hoping the weather is much better for the fifth South Edmonton Common Cars N’ Coffee event of 2025.  Last months event was sadly cancelled due to rain.   On Sunday, August 31st the Haweli Indian Kitchen (2104 – 99th Street) parking lot, just south of Part Source, is where you’ll be able to experience the best of automotive culture.  The event runs from 9:00am - 11:30am.  This is an all makes show featuring high-end exotic cars like Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche plus luxury and tuner cars on display.  Early birds enjoy hot coffee and tasty donuts.  Members of the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region will be in attendance.

BRITISH CAR & CYCLE SHOW

Canmore, Alberta

Sunday, August 31st

The 35th annual Canmore Highland Games runs August 30th and 31st at Centennial Park.  It’s a full weekend of Scottish dancing, Pipes & Drums, Heavy Sports and Live Celtic Music with the Rocky Mountains as the backdrop.  The weekend event also include special exhibits and a marketplace featuring all things Scottish and Celtic.  On Sunday, August 31st, owners of British vehicles are invited to display their saloons and sports cars on the grass at the British Car & Cycle Show.  Show and shine admission is just $20.00 (car/driver plus passenger).  As in past years, several vehicles from the RROC Can-Am Prairie Region are expected to be at this event.

 

 

RUMBLE IN THE BAY

Bigfork, Montana

Sunday, August 31st

The 17th annual Rumble in the Bay car show takes place Sunday, August 31st in the village of Bigfork, Montana.  Chamber of Commerce officials close off main street to welcome participants from the Washington, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia and Alberta.  Vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles will be on display downtown and near the scenic shoreline of Flathead Lake from 10:00am - 3:00pm.  Pre-registration ($25.00) is highly recommended.  Same-day registration rises to $40.00.  Monies raised from the car show goes towards the Veterans of Foreign Wars high school scholarship program.  On Saturday, August 29th, a special poker run takes place around Flathead Lake ($10 entry).  Event goes rain or shine.

EURO CARS & COFFEE

Edmonton, Alberta

Wednesday, September TBA

The Alberta Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America has been hosting Euro Cars and Coffee events in Edmonton, Alberta once again in 2025.  Weather permitting, every Wednesday evening, from 7 - 9pm, some of the rarest and exclusive European and British automobiles are on display.  A Feature class of automobile is showcased several times a year.  British Car owners will get their special night in south Edmonton in September.   The date is expected to be announced in the next week.
